Chad W. Moore, PE, CP EnMS
Chad W. Moore, PE, CP EnMS, has 18 years of supply and demand side energy experience. His most recent position before launching Square K Energy Solutions, Inc. was Operations Manager of PECO’s Smart Ideas Commercial and Industrial Equipment Incentives Program for KEMA Services located in Chalfont, PA. Mr. Moore was responsible for the implementation and management of the program for PECO Energy. Previously, he was the Assistant General Manager for Trigen Energy Corporation in Trenton, NJ, where he was responsible for the operations of a power plant which served the downtown with high pressure hot water, chilled water, and produced 6 MW of electricity. Mr. Moore started with Trigen as a Marketing Engineer in Philadelphia where he completed building energy and utility billing audits for the systems 300+ customers including colleges, universities, hospitals government and commercial offices.
He has previous experience performing energy audits for PWI Energy in Philadelphia and began his career as a mechanical design engineer with Parsons E&C in Houston and Reading, PA. Mr. Moore worked on the design and field verification of several combined cycle power facilities across the country.
Mr. Moore retired in September of 2009 as a Captain from the Pennsylvania Army National Guard after over 21 years of military service that included a tour in Iraq where he earned the Meritorious Service Medal. He commanded HHC 213th Area Support Group in Allentown, PA for 4 years leading up to his tour in Iraq. One of his first assignments was as a Russian Interrogator for the 415th Military Intelligence Battalion in Baton Rouge, LA.
Mr. Moore holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Louisiana State University and a Master of Business Administration degree with a Finance Concentration from Villanova University. Mr. Moore is a Certified Practitioner of Energy Management Systems in the Industrial sector for ISO 50001. He is a licensed Professional Engineer in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, and Maryland.

Jefferson has teamed up with Square K Energy Solutions to maximize local utility rebates for all campus energy projects. These projects include lighting, retro commissioning, HVAC, and chilled water plant optimization. The utility rebates are then reinvested back into our buildings in our effort to save more energy and develop a sustainable campus at a reduced cost. We could not have performed this service at this high level internally.
Square K Energy Solutions performed the required benchmarking for our Philadelphia managed buildings. They not only ensured we were in compliance with the law but also took the first step in educating our organization and tenants on energy consumption. We look forward to working with their team in becoming more green and sustainable.
Square K Energy Solutions has helped KHP Capital Partners implement energy efficient designs into our hotels across the country. They successfully maximize local utility rebates into the process by streamlining synergies between our teams. We now have Chad involved early in our design process to help incorporate green design leveraged with utility funding.
